Exporters are classified into Manufacturer Exporters, Merchant Exporters, Ornamental Fish Exporter, and those exporting via Merchant Exporter.

The MPEDA certificate is valid for three years for both manufacturers and merchants. Renewal is possible with prescribed fees.
