•  Exports covered under these categories cannot be shipped without a valid SCOMET license.

Procedure for Obtaining a SCOMET License in India

Step 1: Check SCOMET Classification

• Verify if your product falls under the SCOMET list.

• Consult the DGFT Handbook of Procedures (Appendix 3 to Schedule 2 of ITC-HS Classification).

Step 2: File Online Application

• Log in to the DGFT DGFT portal using your IEC code and Digital Signature Certificate (DSC).

• Fill out the ANF-2O form (Application for Export of SCOMET Items).

Step 3: Upload Documents

Required documents may include:

• Technical specifications of the item

• End-user certificate (EUC) from the buyer

• Purchase order / Letter of Credit

• Copy of IEC and GST certificate

• Company profile and authorization letter

Step 4: Review by DGFT

• DGFT reviews the application in consultation with technical and defense agencies.
